Miami, the magic City




Ever since I was a kid I imagined myself visiting Miami. The City of Miami is known as the "Magic City", it is one of the most world-renowned cities in the United States where people can have fun, while enjoying a great city with lots of places to visit.



Miami is located in southeastern Florida on the Miami River, between the Everglades and the Atlantic Ocean. Miami is considered a global city for its importance in finance, commerce, media, entertainment, arts, and international commerce . The city is home to many company headquarters, banks and television studios.

If Miami is the destination you choose to visit, there are some places you must visit:

Coconut Grove

Located on the edge of Biscayne Bay, south of downtown Miami, Coconut Grove is one of the oldest neighborhoods of the city with bohemian roots. With a multicultural group of people from the Bahamas and New England, the area attracts artists and intellectuals who usually set their summer residence here.

Downtown Miami

Downtown Miami is the center of Miami, the commercial heart of the city, and is known for its skyscrapers, its impressive government buildings and cultural centers, all framed by the Port of Miami, the world´s largest cruise port.

Miami Seaquarium

This aquarium includes 38 acres of entertainment and education on marine life. The Seaquarium is home to whale Lolita, Salty the sea lion and the famous television star Flipper.

Parrot Jungle

The Parrot Jungle and subtropical botanical garden feature a variety of exotic birds and flamingos among others. It also features a mini zoo where you can caress small animals

South Beach

The glamorous South Beach is certainly the most fashionable part of the city, the place to see and be seen often and where many famous and fun loving to enjoy its cosmopolitan atmosphere, its designer shops, restaurants, and nightlife. South Beach, with its white sand, palm trees, and blue waters, stretching from Lincoln Road Mall to South Point Park, the most southerly point.


Vizcaya Museum and Gardens

Vizcaya is a villa with Italian Renaissance style, built in 1916. The house includes 34 rooms decorated with antiques from the 15-19 centuries. The surroundings include 10 acres of formal gardens, divided by fountains, decorative walls, and shrubs.

Coral Gables

This elegant Mediterranean-style residential neighborhood located southwest of downtown Miami was founded by builder George Merrick during the boom of the 20s. Today it has some examples of the best architecture of the city, located in the middle of wide avenues, canals and green areas.

Key Biscayne

Joined to Miami by the Rickenbacker motorway, Key Biscayne combines traditional Florida-style houses with ostentatious mansions owned by the wealthier residents of Miami. Key Biscayne beaches are among the best in Florida with fine sand and calm sea makes them a very popular choice for families.
