Getting to the city center of Edinburgh from and to the Edinburgh Airport is very easy, the airport is located 12 km from the city center, not a long-distance at all, the best way to get to the City Centre from the Airport is by the Airport Bus Airlink.
It is a journey of only half-hour and the bus is very comfortable, there is Wi-fi on the bus for those who want to check emails and get in contact with family and friends. The bus has several stops from and to the airport, but as I said before, it is a very short trip, the bus has its last stop in the city at Waverly Station, and this is also the place where you can take the bus back to the Airport.
But you also have different choices to move to and from Edinburgh city center and the Airport.
By Taxi
This is obviously the most expensive way to travel, but it is also the fastest and most comfortable, you can pick a black cab just outside the terminal at the airport, or you can also pre-book Edinburgh's Airport official private hire by calling 0844-448-8576 or using the on-line taxi booking form in Edinburgh's Airport website.
By Car
If you want to rent a car, you can choose from a number of car hire companies that operate in the airport. This is also a good way to go to and from the Airport to the city center and has the flexibility that you can use the car to visit other places.
By Bus
As previously mentioned the bus is the best way to get to the city center from the Airport, and vice versa is by bus, the buses into Edinburgh are:
