Isla Margarita, The Caribbean Pearl


Isla Margarita offers a tropical climate, multiple color surfaces with zones of leafy green mountains, vegetation, wonderful weather, miles and miles of intense blue beaches, solitary places where you can find yourself again, very cosmopolitan cities, and quaint villages with their customs and traditions still intact.
Isla Margarita is in the Caribbean Sea, it has a surface of 1071 Km2, 315 Km. beautiful beaches, mountains, valleys, and deserts. This group of islands has a similar geological construction and is located 38 Km from the northeast coast of Venezuela.
The annual average temperature is 30 C and together with Coche and Cubagua Islands, they form the State of Nueva Esparta in Venezuela.

Isla Margarita is the most important tourist attraction in Venezuela.


The island has beaches with conditions for water sports such as surfing, diving, windsurfing, kitesurfing, and others, but it also has historic colonial towns that offer an important attraction for tourism. On the island, there are several old Spanish fortifications (castles, forts, and fortresses), which are considered national heritage.


Isla Margarita has many beaches of different types, towards the north of the island, the beaches are oceanic type while to the south they are Caribbean type. Those in the northeast tend to have strong waves, while those in the south tend to have calmer waves.
