I arrived at the hotel from my stay at the Ritz Carlton, so the way to get there was taking the Tokyo Metro, I got down at the Shinjuku Station, one of the most important of Tokyo, and where various train and metro lines converge.
The APA Hotel Shinjuku-Kabukicho Tower is located in a very popular area, about 10 blocks from the Shinjuku Station. It is located in the Kabukicho area, an area full of restaurants and shops, very near the Shinjuku Toho Building, and a few blocks from the Golden Gai, an area of small pedestrian streets full of restaurants and bars.
BOOK YOUR STAY AT THE APA SHINJUKU_KABUKICHO TOWER
This hotel is more basic than the APA Hotel Pride where I stayed the first night in Tokyo. The system to do the check-in is the same, you need to use the machines that the hotel has for that purpose, but it seems a hotel with more movement, so it takes a little bit longer to do the check-in.
The room was small, I had a room looking towards the railroad, so it is a bit noisy compared to the other hotel, as the trains don´t stop, and the frequency of trains is constant. Nevertheless is something you can manage, it lets you sleep.
The bathroom was identical to the one of the APA Hotel Pride, it seems that this brand uses the same construction model for all their hotels.
Breakfast was not included in my stay.
Conclusion
- The Hotel is located in a very crowded area, full of movement.
- Although I heard about the area not being so safe, I really didn´t feel unsafe at any moment, actually, Tokyo is a very safe city, and it is very strange that something happens to you.
- The room was small but comfortable, the relation between price and comfort was good, you can get good prices for this hotel.
- As the hotel is very close to the railroad it is a little bit noisy, that is something that you should consider.
- All the check-in processes in this hotel took some time as there were always people using the machine, it seems it has more movement the APA Hotel Pride.
- If I have to choose, I would prefer a hotel a little bit further from the railroad. But in general, it is a good option for what I paid.
