This time my vacations were near home, I live about 20km south of Buenos Aires, and the Hilton Pilar is located in the north near the city of Pilar, about 80 km from where I live, so arriving at the hotel took me about 1,30 hs. by car.
From Buenos Aires it is a very direct way, the Hotel is located near the Panamericana Highway, so it is very easy to get there by car.
Hilton Hotel Pilar
The Hilton Hotel Pilar is located near the city of Pilar, 67 km from Buenos Aires city center. It is located inside a Private Neighbourhood where the Pilar Golf Club is located.
The lobby, buffet, and restaurant are all on the ground floor. The building has three floors in total, it has a fitness center with Gym and Spa. The property offers great views of the nearby golf course and the gardens and pool.
The pool area is wide, it has 3 different pools, one large, and two smaller pools with little depth for children.
The Rooms
Our rooms had views of the pool area, and also part of the golf course. We stayed in a Deluxe Twin Room, the room was very nice, with two double beds, very comfortable.
The view from the room was very good, you could see part of the golf course, as well as the pool area.
The bathrooms were spacious with two sinks, mirrors with led light, which allowed a very good vision.
The exterior and surrounding areas.
As the Hilton Pilar Hotel is located in a private neighbourhood, the nearby areas are very quiet and it is a good reason to take long walks or ride a bike to enjoy the nature and views of the golf course.
The Pilar Golf Club course is just beside the hotel, so it is very common to see golfers around, but you can also walk the area near the golf course.
The hotel offers tennis courts for its guests. So to use the courts you need to make a reservation in the lobby as I saw many people using the courts. They also offer tennis rackets and balls.
The restaurant and breakfast area
The restaurant is located on the ground floor, it is a very nice space, and they offer international cuisine.
It does not have a large menu, but the food is very good.
The breakfast is offered in the same area as the restaurant, in this case, the offer is very complete and you have a lot to choose from.
Conclusion
I had a great stay at this hotel, I really had nothing to complain about, the hotel staff is super attentive and always willing to offer the best service. We had a super relaxed stay with my family.
I think that for families looking to get away from the city and spend a few relaxing days enjoying the pool, riding a bike, or playing tennis, this hotel is ideal.
For passengers coming from abroad, the hotel offers a very good option to get to know the areas most related to the countryside and the outskirts of Buenos Aires.
For a few days of rest, I would choose this hotel again.
